GenAI Studio

Privacy Policy

Privacy, in plain words.

What happens to your account, your prompts, your files and your voice when you use GenAI Studio on the web, with nothing hidden in fine print.

  • Effective October 31, 2026
  • Covers gen-ai-studio.com
  • iPhone app: its own policy

The short version

1.Who we are

GenAI Studio is run by Sharath Kammari, an individual developer based in Texas, USA (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the GenAI Studio website and web app at gen-ai-studio.com, including these Privacy, Terms and Support pages.

The GenAI Studio app for iPhone and iPad has its own privacy policy at genai-studio-app.web.app/privacy, which applies when you use that app. Your account is the same in both, so the data you create on one shows up on the other.

2.What you give us

Your account

  • Email and password. If you sign up with email, we keep your email address. Your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication and is not stored in our database.
  • Google sign-in. If you continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with Firebase Authentication, and we keep your email address.
  • We also keep when you signed up, how you sign in, your credit balance and your settings.

What you send and create

  • Prompts. What you type or dictate into the prompt box, and earlier turns when you continue a chat.
  • Attachments. Images, PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, and text files you attach.
  • Your voice. Microphone audio while you dictate or talk with a live voice agent, and audio files you choose to transcribe.
  • What the models make for you. Answers, images, video and audio.
  • Your library. Saved prompts and their versions, custom vocabulary and dictation history.

Payments

When you top up your credit, you pay on Stripe’s checkout page. Stripe collects your card details. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us the payment went through and how much it was, and keeps a customer record with your email address.

Technical information

Like any website, our servers and the services named below receive your IP address and basic browser details when your browser connects to them. If you email us, we keep the email and our reply.

3.Who receives what

GenAI Studio works by sending your requests to AI providers through their APIs. Here is who receives what when you use each feature.

Which providers receive what, by feature
FeatureWhat is sentWho receives it
Text answersYour prompt, earlier turns of the chat, and attachments. Images and PDFs are sent whole. The provider of each model you pick: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), Meta (Muse), Novita AI (which runs DeepSeek, Qwen and Z.ai GLM) and Perplexity (Sonar). If you pick several models, each of them receives it.
Word, Excel and PowerPoint filesThe file. If every model you picked is Claude or GPT, the file goes to them whole. Otherwise our server turns it into text, and that text is sent to the models and saved in your history. Our server, then the providers above.
Image generationYour prompt.OpenAI (GPT Image), Google (Gemini Flash Image, Gemini Pro Image), xAI (Grok Imagine), and when available Meta (Muse Image) and Microsoft (MAI Image).
VideoYour prompt.Google (Veo).
Generated audio (text to speech)The text to be spoken.Depending on the voice: Microsoft Azure, OpenAI, Google or xAI. Audio from OpenAI and Gemini voices is also transcribed by OpenAI to check for missing words.
Read aloudThe text of the answer or prompt you play.Microsoft Azure (Azure Speech). The audio is cached in our storage.
DictationMicrophone audio while you dictate. If dictation clean-up is on (vocabulary, grammar or tone), the dictated text too.The speech engine you choose: ElevenLabs (Scribe v2, the default), Google (Gemini), OpenAI (GPT) or Microsoft (MAI, through our server). Clean-up goes to Google (Gemini).
Audio-file transcriptionThe audio file you choose (up to 32 MB).Our server, then ElevenLabs by default, or Microsoft, OpenAI or Google. If one provider fails, another may be tried automatically.
Live voice agentsYour microphone audio and the conversation, through our server.OpenAI (GPT Live), Google (Gemini Live) or xAI (Grok Live). Web searches the agent makes go to Google (Gemini Live) or Perplexity (GPT Live and Grok Live).
Suggested prompts (automatic)When you sign in, at most every 30 minutes, the first 160 characters of each of your last 100 questions. This happens without a click.Google (Gemini), to suggest prompts for you.
History search and saved promptsYour search words, and the text of prompts you save.Google (Gemini), to build search indexes.
PaymentsYour card and billing details, entered on Stripe’s page.Stripe.
Sign-in, storage and our serversYour account, history, files and the request log described below.Google: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, BigQuery and Cloud Run (including the service that fetches generated files when you download them).
This websiteYour IP address and browser details, like any website.GitHub (GitHub Pages hosts the site files), Google (Google Fonts and the Google Ads tag, see Cookies), and Apple (the pages ask Apple’s public App Store lookup whether the iPhone app is out yet).

Each provider handles what it receives under its own terms and privacy policy for its API services, and decides how long it keeps it. We don’t control that. We use the providers’ APIs, not their consumer apps, so a GenAI Studio account doesn’t give you access to plans such as ChatGPT Plus.

Don’t put passwords, card numbers or other secrets into prompts, files or dictation. Whatever you send goes to the providers in this table and is saved as described below.

5.What we keep, and for how long

Everything below is stored with Google, in our Firebase project, unless it says otherwise.

What we keep, where, and for how long
WhereWhatHow long
Your account Google Cloud FirestoreEmail address, how you sign in, sign-up date, credit balance, settings (including dictation settings and custom vocabulary), suggested prompts, and saved prompts with their version history. While your account exists.
Your history Google Cloud FirestoreEvery question and answer, text taken from Office files, what each generation cost (model, lengths and charge), your question history for search, dictation text, and records of voice-agent sessions.

Until your account is deleted.

Deleting an item in the app moves it to an archive in your account, where it stays until the account is deleted.

Files you create Google Cloud StorageImages, video, audio, diagrams and HTML pages the models made for you, and cached read-aloud audio. Each file has a private, hard-to-guess web address; anyone who has that link can open it, so share links with care.

While your account exists.

Deleting an item from your history does not delete its file.

Job files Google Cloud StorageFor longer requests, a temporary copy of the question and its attachments.Deleted when the request finishes.
Request log Google BigQueryFor every text, image, video and audio generation and every file conversion: the full question, the answer, the context sent with it, the model, your account email and your user ID. Also a list of new sign-ups. We use it to run, bill, troubleshoot and improve GenAI Studio.

While your account exists.

Deleting a history item in the app does not remove its copy in this log. When you email us to delete your account, we remove your entries too.

Payments Stripe, and FirestoreStripe keeps your payment and customer record. We keep the amount, date and Stripe reference of each top-up, in your account and in a payments record kept by the operator.Stripe: under its own policy. Ours: as long as accounting and tax rules require, even after account deletion.
Your browserYour sign-in session (Firebase, in the browser’s database), small caches, and the advertising cookie described below.Until you sign out or clear this site’s data.

6.How we use it

  • To give you the features you use: send your requests to the providers, show you the answers and keep your history, prompts and files.
  • To keep your credit balance and charge it for what you generate.
  • To suggest prompts and to search your history.
  • To support you, fix problems, prevent abuse and keep the service running.
  • To measure whether our Google ads bring people to the site (see Cookies).
  • To comply with the law.

We look at individual requests only to answer you, fix a problem, look into abuse or comply with the law. We don’t train AI models on your content.

7.Cookies and advertising

The home page, the sign-in screen and every screen of the web app, signed in or out, load the Google Ads tag (account AW-872452680). These Privacy, Terms and Support pages do not load it. There is no cookie banner.

  • It sets a first-party cookie, _gcl_au, on gen-ai-studio.com for about 90 days, and stores _gcl_ls in your browser’s local storage.
  • It contacts Google’s ad servers (googletagmanager.com, googleads.g.doubleclick.net, ad.doubleclick.net and google.com), which can set their own cookies, such as test_cookie on doubleclick.net.
  • We use it to measure whether our Google ads lead to visits and sign-ups. Google can also use it to show our ads to people who visited the site. Google handles this data under its own policies: how Google uses advertising cookies.

How to block it

  • Block third-party cookies in your browser’s privacy settings. This stops the doubleclick.net cookies.
  • Block or delete cookies for gen-ai-studio.com in your browser’s site settings. This stops _gcl_au. The app keeps working; clearing all of the site’s data signs you out.
  • Use a content blocker that blocks googletagmanager.com and doubleclick.net. The app works without them.
  • Turn off personalized ads at Google’s My Ad Center.

Other things in your browser

  • Firebase keeps you signed in using your browser’s database (IndexedDB).
  • The app registers a small service worker. It doesn’t store pages or data for offline use.
  • Fonts load from Google Fonts, and the site asks Apple’s public App Store lookup whether the iPhone app is out yet.
  • At sign-in the app may ask your browser for permission to show notifications. You can say no.

We don’t use Google Analytics or session-recording tools.

8.Sharing

We share data only with the AI providers and services named in this policy, to provide GenAI Studio; when the law requires it; to protect people, our rights or the service; or with a successor if GenAI Studio is ever transferred, under this policy.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t give your prompts, files or account details to advertisers.

9.Children

GenAI Studio is for adults: you must be 18 or older to use it (see the Terms of Use). It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete the account.

10.Your choices and rights

  • Choose what you send. Each feature sends content only to the providers listed for it.
  • Delete history items in the app. Remember that they move to an archive and stay in the request log until your account is deleted.
  • Block the advertising tag as described in Cookies.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing sharathck3@gmail.com.

Depending on where you live, for example California, the EU or the UK, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict some uses of it, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Email us to use any of them. We won’t treat you differently for asking.

11.Deleting your account

The web app has no delete button. To delete your account:

  1. Email sharathck3@gmail.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my GenAI Studio account”.
  2. We may ask you to confirm the request.
  3. We delete the account and email you when it’s done.

What we delete

When you email us to delete your account, we delete:

  • Your sign-in and your account record, including any remaining credit, which can’t be refunded or moved once the account is gone.
  • Your history and its archive, saved prompts, settings, custom vocabulary and dictation history.
  • The files you created.
  • Your entries in the request log.

What stays

  • Payment records that Stripe and we must keep for accounting and tax purposes.
  • Copies the AI providers already received, which they keep under their own terms.

The same account is used by the iPhone app, so deleting it by email removes it there too. Deleting the account doesn’t cancel an iPhone subscription; cancel that in your Apple account settings.

The iPhone app also has its own delete button. Deleting your account there removes the account and its history, but not our request log or every file you created. Email us and we will remove those too.

12.Security

Connections to GenAI Studio and its providers use HTTPS, and sign-in runs on Google Firebase Authentication. No way of storing or sending data is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that your information will never be accessed without permission. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Found a security problem? Please email sharathck3@gmail.com.

13.Where data is processed

GenAI Studio is run from the United States on Google Cloud. The AI providers and other services named here may process data in the United States and in other countries.

14.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or in the app before it applies.
