1.Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Sharath Kammari, an individual developer based in Texas, USA (“we”, “us”, “our”), who runs GenAI Studio. They cover the GenAI Studio website and web app at gen-ai-studio.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
The GenAI Studio app for iPhone and iPad has its own Terms of Use, which apply when you use that app, together with Apple’s terms for apps and purchases from the App Store.
2.Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. It can generate unrestricted content from open-ended prompts and is not meant for children.
- You need an account to use the web app: sign in with an email address and password, or with Google. Email accounts confirm their address before they can be used.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away at sharathck3@gmail.com if you think someone has used your account without your permission.
3.Credit and payments
What credit pays for
On the web, GenAI Studio is pay-per-use. Text answers, images, video clips, generated audio and automatic suggested-prompt refreshes are paid from the credit balance in your account. There is no subscription on the web.
- A text answer costs a base amount plus a small amount for each character of the question and answer, which is usually a few cents. Images and video clips cost more. Current prices are on the pricing section of the home page.
- Once you have asked a question, opening the app refreshes your suggested prompts from your recent questions, at most once every 30 minutes. Each refresh is charged like a text answer, usually about 10–17¢.
- Live voice agents, dictation and read-aloud don’t use credit. Voice agents and read-aloud need a balance above 9¢; dictation works at any balance.
- Prices can change, for example when providers change theirs. A change applies to generations made after it, never to ones already made.
- When your balance is very low, the app asks you to top up before it generates more. Because the cost of an answer depends on its length, a generation can take your balance slightly below zero; the difference comes out of your next top-up.
Starting credit
New accounts get US$2.00 of credit. Email accounts receive it after they confirm their email address.
Top-ups
- You can add credit in US$5.00 one-time payments through Stripe Checkout. Each top-up is a single payment; nothing renews automatically.
- Stripe processes the payment under its own terms. We never see your card number.
- Credit you buy in the iPhone app is bought from Apple under the iPhone app’s terms and Apple’s rules.
How credit works
- Credit never expires.
- The same balance works on the web and in the iPhone app.
- Credit can only be used in GenAI Studio. It can’t be transferred to another account or exchanged for cash.
- Remaining credit is lost when your account is deleted.
Billing problems
If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or see a charge you didn’t make, email sharathck3@gmail.com and we will correct it. Nothing in these Terms takes away any right to a refund you have under the law.
4.Using GenAI Studio
Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for your personal or internal business use. All rights we don’t expressly grant are reserved.
5.Your content and outputs
- You own what you put in and what you get out. As between you and us, you own your prompts, attachments and other input, and the text, images, audio and video generated for you (“Outputs”), subject to the terms of the provider whose model produced them and to the law.
- You give us a limited permission to host, store, copy, send and process your input and Outputs only as needed to run the Service for you, for example to send your prompt to the models you pick and to keep your history.
- Outputs may not be unique. Other people can get similar output from the same models, and you don’t get rights in theirs.
- You are responsible for your input, for having the right to use it, and for how you use Outputs, including making sure your use doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.
6.AI output
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or offensive. Models can state wrong things with confidence, misread attachments, mishear dictation, and give different answers to the same question. Check important information before you rely on it.
- AI output is not professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise). Don’t rely on it where a mistake could cause harm.
- Output reflects the models that produced it, not our views.
- Use live voice agents and read-aloud only where it is safe and lawful. Don’t use your screen while driving.
- On the web there is no separate consent step: when you use a feature, your content is sent to that feature’s AI provider, as the Privacy Policy describes.
7.Third-party providers
The Service relies on models and services from other companies, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Meta, Novita AI, Perplexity, ElevenLabs and Microsoft Azure, on Stripe for payments, and on Google Firebase and Google Cloud to run. Their availability, behavior and prices are outside our control. We may add, change or remove providers, models, voices or features at any time, and a feature may be unavailable while a provider is. When you use a provider’s model through GenAI Studio, you must also follow that provider’s usage policies. GenAI Studio gives you access to these models through their APIs, not to the providers’ own consumer apps or plans.
8.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to create, request or share anything illegal, including content that sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or terrorism, or infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy;
- use the Service to harass, threaten, bully, defame or impersonate anyone, or to create deceptive content about a real person without their consent;
- misuse the Service’s access to AI providers, for example by sending requests to our servers outside the web or iPhone app, reselling access, or using automated means to generate in bulk;
- try to get around the Service’s billing, credit or safety measures, or those of the AI providers, including by creating accounts to collect starting credit again;
- access or try to access anyone else’s account or data, or probe, scan or test the Service’s security without our written permission (to report a problem, email us instead);
- interfere with or overload the Service, or upload malware;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, except where the law expressly allows it.
We may remove content, limit use, or suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts the Service or other people at risk.
9.Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable, but it may be interrupted, changed or discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time. We may change features, the models on offer and prices, fix problems, or make changes the law requires. The Service needs an internet connection and a current web browser.
10.Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and graphics (but not your input or Outputs), belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Model and company names belong to their owners, and GenAI Studio is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
11.Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service and all Outputs are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and accuracy. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that Outputs will be accurate, lawful or suitable for your purpose, or that data will never be lost.
Some places don’t allow some of these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
12.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or relating to the Service or any Output, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service won’t exceed the greater of what you paid us for credit in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$10.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live.
13.Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your input, your use of Outputs, or your breach of these Terms or of anyone else’s rights.
14.Termination
- You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and its data, email sharathck3@gmail.com from your sign-in address (see the Privacy Policy). Remaining credit is lost.
- We may suspend or end your access if you seriously break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or other people. Where reasonable, we will tell you first. If we end your access for a serious breach, remaining credit is lost to the extent the law allows.
- Sections that by their nature should continue after termination (such as Your content and outputs, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnity and Governing law) continue.
15.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country that gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts or under your local law, nothing in this section takes that right away. Before filing a claim, please contact us; most problems can be solved quickly.
16.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, if a change is significant, tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
